EU increases Russian LNG imports to 15 bcm from 10 bcm in Jan–Sep

BRUSSELS, Oct 14 (PRIME) -- The E.U. increased imports of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) in January–September to 15 billion cubic meters from 10 billion cubic meters on the year, European Commission spokesman Tim McPhee said at a briefing on Friday.

“I'm talking about the first nine months of the year. In 2021, it was only almost 53 billion cubic meters, in 2022 it was almost 88 billion cubic meters,” he said.

“As for Russia -- last year’s imports are 20%, or 10 billion cubic meters, and 17% this year is 15 billion cubic meters.”
